Kannauj: Police Citadel: For suicide cases committed by the woman trainee constable within her barrack, she is believed to have hung herself on the 4th of November 2023 in the day. This new information was released just a few moments ago. An official explained that he treated her as if he had an officer above her and responded to her after she rang for help. He managed to rescue her but he went to Kanpura expecting to meet his subordinate. DIG Harishchundra from Kanpur range commanded all branches to report for attendance. The officer mentioned that her family had married her with many suitors before her life.
Trainee Constable Commits Suicide: He noted that Ranu started her work as a police trainee this year and she was in training at the Police Line Kannauj. Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar stated that around 2 PM, constable trainee Ranu Jadoun reportedly hanged herself in the women’s toilet of the police line’s hostel. He added that the lady constable was rushed to the district hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. He further added that a lot of evidence has been recovered from the location, which the police is still following up on. The SP also mentioned that it is likely a case of suicide for personal reasons.
Trainee Constable Commits Suicide: As of Friday night, Sadar Kotwali Inspector in-charge (SHO) Jitendra Pratap Singh mentioned that the father of the deceased, Shyamveer Singh, has filed a police complaint stating that his daughter was under continuous harassment from one Devesh alias Debu residing in Etah. Based on the complaint, the SHO mentioned that the said person wanted Ranu to leave her job and because of that she was extremely unhappy, which drove her to take her life. He further added that an FIR has already been filed and investigation is ongoing. Police have also stated that after conducting the post-mortem examination, the deceased’s body was released to the family.
