Celeb couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali were recently dragged into the rumour vortex over reports of a possible divorce. But the actor isn’t having any of it and is instead slapping a BIG legal notice on those spreading “false narratives.”

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali have been married for 14 years and have a daughter named Tara. The two are no strangers to the public eye and frequently share glimpses of their lives together on social media which has occasionally made them fodder for speculation and rumours. The latest whispers seem to have emerged after some mysterious Twitter accounts and unverified news stories began hinting at issues within their marriage.

Mahhi was not done. She took to her social media handle to address the false reports and her fiery response was not very subtle. She made it loud and clear that she won’t be taking any nonsense from the rumour peddlers. The statement much more pointed than most celebrity reactions to rumours also hinted at a painful reaction.



 

“We are sick and tired of reading these made-up stories about our personal lives. We are not the first celebrity couple to face such attacks in the past” Mahhi stated in a fiery statement. She continued “While we are not naive to the public’s interest in our lives we will not sit quietly while bald-faced lies are spread that affect our family. To the individuals fabricating and perpetuating these entirely false stories our legal team has been directed to take strict action against any media house and social media pages that try to deliberately defame our character or emotionally harm our family through such false and irresponsible reporting.”



Her husband Jay Bhanushali who has also previously spoken up about rumours is standing in firm support of his wife. Busy with work he has repeatedly asked for a “degree of privacy when kids are involved.” By opening up the option of a legal battle Mahhi and Jay are clearly drawing the line for publications and social media pages that think they can run stories at their family’s expense.

Mahhi and Jay have a young daughter Tara and are both busy with their respective careers. This latest development is an escalation in Mahhi Vij’s efforts to shut down the wild misinformation that’s been floating around on social media and proves that celebrity rumours aren’t always left to die a quiet death.
