3rd T20I: Bethell, Jacks decimate Sri Lanka with stellar spells

England defeated Sri Lanka by 12 runs in the nail-biting third and final match to complete a 3-0 clean sweep in the T20I series.
The match, played in Pallekele, saw the Brits defend a paltry 128/9.
England's spinners proved too strong as Will Jacks and Jacob Bethell wreaked havoc on the Sri Lankan batting order.
While Jacks trapped three batters, Bethell claimed a four-fer.

Sri Lanka started their chase well as they were well placed at 62/2 at one stage.
However, Jacks and Bethell dismantled their middle order by sharing seven wickets.
The former was brilliant in the middle overs, trapping three of the top-six batters.
Bethell took three wickets in the 18th over to knock the Lankan team out.
He completed his four-wicket haul in the 20th over as the hosts were all out for 116.

The off-spinning all-rounder had just four wickets across 31 T20Is before this clash.

Four-fer for Bethell

Bethell finished with 4/11 from 3.3 overs. The left-arm spinner now has eight wickets from five T20I innings at 15.25 (ER: 8.41). This was his maiden four-fer in overall T20 cricket. He has completed 22 wickets across 30 innings in the format. His economy in this regard is 8.31.
