DC vs RCB, WPL 2026 Final : The Women’s Premier League 2026 final was played today between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. In this general, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets to retain the Women’s Premier League 2026 title. Batting first, Delhi Capitals scored 203 runs for the loss of 4 wickets on the strength of Jemimah Rodrigues’ half-century. In reply, RCB achieved the target for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.4 overs on the back of half-centuries from skipper Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Wall to clinch the Women’s Premier League title for the second time in a row. Delhi Capitals could not win the title this time either. As a result, we had to settle for the runner-up position. Chinel Henry took the most 2 wickets from Delhi.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bowl first in the Women’s Premier League 2026 final. Delhi Capitals were invited to bat. Batting first, Delhi scored 203 runs for the loss of 4 wickets on the strength of Jemimah Rodrigues’ half-century. Jemimah Rodrigues scored 57 runs off 37 balls, Taralaura Volward contributed 44 runs. Chinel Henry also scored a quick 35 runs in the last over and took the team to 203. Arundhati Reddy, Saili Satghare and Nadine de Klerk took 1 wicket each for RCB.
The team chasing runs did not get off to a good start. Grace Harris got out with her team down by 9 runs. She was dismissed by Chinelle Henry. After that, opener captain Smriti Mandhana and one down Georgia Wall saved the team’s innings. These two made a partnership of 165 runs. Both dominated the Delhi bowlers. Georgia Wall scored 79 off 54 balls with 14 fours and was dismissed. She was eliminated by Minnu Mani. After that, Smriti Mandhan took charge for a while and she scored 87 runs off 41 balls. She hit 12 fours and 3 sixes in this innings. Then Richa Ghosh was dismissed for 6 runs. Finally, Radha Yadav scored 12 not out and Nadine de Klerk sealed the title for RCB by scoring 7 not out. For Delhi, Chinel Henry took the most wickets with 2 wickets while Nandani Sharma and Minnu Mani took 1 wicket each.
