New Delhi: Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma are the big names among the seventeen Indian players to register for The Hundred’s inaugural auction ahead of the upcoming edition. Richa has registered in the highest price bracket of £50,000, and Deepti is in the £27,500 bracket, along with Shree Charani and Pooja Vastrakar.

Pratika Rawal registered her name in the second-highest base price bracket of £37,500.  Richa has previously featured for the London Spirit and Birmingham Phoenix, while Deepti has also played for the London Spirit.

Uncapped Indian players, including Nandani Sharma, Deeya Yadav, and Vrinda Dinesh, are all at the lowest base price of£15,000 in the auction. Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar, Kashvee Gautam, Shikha Pandey, Shreyanka Patil, Asha Sobhana, and Sajeevan Sajana are the other Indian cricketers in the auction.

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues have already been pre-signed ahead of the auction. Mandhana will play for the Manchester Super Giants, while Rodrigues has been signed by Southern Brave (which is owned by GMR Group).

The Hundred auction will take place on March 11 and 12 at Piccadilly Lights in London. The upcoming season will be the first edition of the tournament since IPL franchise owners invested in the competition.

Four IPL team owners are now involved in the Hundred, including Mumbai Indians (MI London), Lucknow Super Giants (Manchester Super Giants), Sunrisers Hyderabad (Sunrisers Leeds) and Delhi Capitals (Southern Brave).

Amidst discussions about whether the IPL-owned teams will sign Pakistani players in both the men’s and women’s auctions, four Pakistani cricketers, including Muneeba Ali, Diana Baig, Sadia Iqbal, and Fatima Sana, have registered their names.
