Mumbai A shocking news has come to light amid the new season of the Indian Premier League. Ian Williams Langford, a British citizen and broadcast engineer associated with the tournament, has died under suspicious circumstances in Mumbai. According to the information, 76-year-old Ian Williams Langford was staying in Trident Hotel in Mumbai since March 24 in connection with the broadcasting work of IPL matches. On March 29, the match was played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium. After the match he returned to his hotel room.

The next day i.e. on March 30, when he was called from the hotel reception, there was no response. After this the hotel staff reached his room, but when there was no response from inside, the door was opened with the master key. His body was found lying on the floor inside the room. The hotel doctor was immediately called, who declared him dead on the spot. After this the matter was informed to the police.


At present, Mumbai Police has registered a case of accidental death at Marine Drive police station and started investigation. According to the police, post-mortem of the body has been done and no suspicious circumstances have been revealed so far. However, the police is investigating keeping all the aspects in mind, so that the exact cause of death can be found out. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of concern among the people associated with IPL, although at present it is being considered as a normal death.
