Obra/Sonbhadra –


In the ongoing campaign against crime and criminals in Sonbhadra district, under the direction of Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar and under the supervision of Area Officer Obra Amit Kumar, an important success was achieved by taking effective action under the leadership of Inspector-in-charge Obra Sadanand Rai.


Registered at police station Obra, FIR No. 290/25 to section 69, 351 (3) BNS and 67 IT Act, absconding accused Raj Jaiswal, son of Bechu Jaiswal, resident of Mahua Kothi Sirsa, police station Meja, district Prayagraj, age about 31 years, on 16.04.2026 at 23:10 in front of police station Saini, district Kaushambi. Arrested while attempting to flee to Delhi from Overbridge Highway (Kanpur Road). Necessary legal action is being taken against the accused.


The victim gave a written application at the police station Obra and informed that the accused kept her personal photos and videos with himself and sent them to her and her family members/relatives through social media platforms (Whatsapp and Facebook) and made them viral. On protesting, the accused was threatening to make it viral again, due to which the victim was extremely mentally disturbed. On the basis of the application received, a case was registered at Obera police station under the above sections and investigation was started.


One Vivo mobile phone was recovered from the arrested accused Raj Jaiswal, son of Bechu Jaiswal, resident of Mahua Kothi Sirsa, police station Meja, district Prayagraj, aged about 31 years. Inspector in-charge Sadanand Rai, Obra police station, Sonbhadra district and other police personnel were included in the police team that made the arrest.
