Exciting Announcement from Vijay Deverakonda


Fans of Vijay Deverakonda are buzzing with excitement as the South Indian actor has revealed his next project. Following the much-anticipated period drama Ranabaali, where he stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Deverakonda is set to collaborate with director Shouryuv. The filmmaker, known for Hi Nanna, is working with Deverakonda on what has been described as an 'intimidating film.' In a heartfelt announcement, the Arjun Reddy star expressed his eagerness to meet the expectations of his fans. The production team has also released a captivating first poster featuring Vijay and his crew, introducing the 'firecracker global team' behind the project tentatively titled VDxShouryuv.




In the poster, Vijay looks stylish in an olive green outfit, holding the leashes of four Doberman Pinschers, while his team appears equipped with battlefield weapons. He shared the poster with a message: 'Introducing the team taking on the scary task of making this intimidating film. So happy to have this firecracker global team working on this one with Shouryuv and his wild imagination and intense heart. ROAR, my friends. I will give you my all. Peak excitement and lots of love.'








As per the announcement, Hesham Abdul Wahab will be composing the film's music. The project also features renowned cinematographer Alejandro Martínez, celebrated for his work on Fallout and House of the Dragon. Production design will be overseen by Suresh Selvarajan, while editing will be handled by Praveen Antony. Additionally, Eric Durst, an Emmy-winning visual effects supervisor known for Snowpiercer and Gods of Egypt, is part of the team. Sachin Lovalekar, who won a National Award for Best Costume Design for Sam Bahadur, will manage the costumes.

In addition to this new project, Vijay is also starring in Ranabaali, which marks his first collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna post-wedding. Set during the British Raj from 1854 to 1878, the film addresses the catastrophic famine that claimed around 100 million lives and the exploitation faced by the Indian populace during colonial rule. Ranabaali is slated for a multi-language release on September 11, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, and is being promoted as a pan-India visual spectacle. Vijay portrays the character Ranabaali, while Rashmika plays Jayamma.
