New Delhi. Nishant Kumar, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has been provided Z category security. This decision has been taken by the Home Ministry of Bihar Government. The government has also made changes in the security arrangements of some other leaders. The security of senior JDU leader and former minister Shravan Kumar has been increased to Y Plus category. Whereas the security of former Deputy CM of Bihar Vijay Kumar Sinha has been reduced. Sinha was earlier getting Z Plus category security cover, which has now been upgraded to Z.

Decisions regarding the security of the leaders were taken on the basis of recommendations in the meeting of the State Security Committee held on Friday. In a letter issued by Naveen Chandra, Joint Secretary of the Bihar government led by Samrat Chaudhary, the State Director General of Police and the Special Branch have been directed to provide security arrangements to the leaders as per the decision of the state government. A day earlier, both the new Deputy CMs of Bihar government, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, have also been provided Z category security. Let us tell you that Nishant Kumar is not holding any post at present.

Nishant had joined JDU only after Nitish Kumar’s announcement of going to Rajya Sabha. There was a possibility that after Nitish Kumar’s resignation from the post of Chief Minister, Nishant Kumar could be made the Deputy CM. Recently, when Nishant Kumar was asked a question about why he did not become the Deputy CM, he did not give any direct answer but said that he had talked about following his father’s footsteps. Now speculations are being made as to what responsibility Nishant Kumar is going to get in future.
