Jeremy Clarkson's partner, Lisa Hogan, has been named as the new host of a new dating show for farmers. ITV have confirmed that she will be presenting Farming For Love, which is based on the hit show Farmer Wants a Wife.
The series will run for seven episodes, lasting for an hour long each, and will follow a group of single farmers as they search for lasting love. Set against the backdrop of rural Britain, the series sees farmers invite potential partners to live and work alongside them, offering an authentic look at both modern relationships and the realities of British farming life. Lisa will guide the hopefuls through their lustful journey, bringing her humour and straight-talking honesty to the role. Four eligible farmers hoping to find a match will be welcomed to the programme. Lisa said: "Farming is a way of life that requires resilience, patience, a lot of humour, and the same can be said for relationships.
"What I love about Farming for Love is how real it is - there is no hiding or skiving on a farm and that is what makes it such an honest way for people to get to know each other that has had success around the world.
"I am really looking forward to leading this flock in their search for romance."
Viewers can tune in to see Dana, 24, from Stirlingshire. She is a determined, down-to-earth farmer and part-time wedding dress model, looking for someone who can match her energy and embrace life in the Scottish countryside.
George, 29, from Wrexham will also feature on the show. He is an organic livestock farmer and adrenaline junkie overseeing 1,500 acres of land. His passion for sustainability shapes everything he does. Having now settled into running the family farm, he admits it's time to find a partner and start growing a family of his own.
Another person looking to find love will be Guy, 29, based in Wiltshire. He is a rugged suckler farmer bringing humour and heart, who jokes that the only girls in his life right now are his beloved cow. But he's ready to charm a very different kind of female.
And finally, Chris, 68, from Yorkshire will be making an appearance. He is a proud Golden Bachelor who returned to the fields he loves after losing his wife to cancer three years ago. Farming still brings him joy, now he's hoping to find someone new to share it with.
Applications are open for those ready to swap the city life for the rolling hills and join one of the farmers on their journey. Prospective daters can apply via: Countryside Dating
