Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Orlando Bloom are set to headline Reset, a survival thriller directed by Matt Smukler. The film is expected to begin production in August.

Penned by Jordan Rawlins, the story follows a woman played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who wakes up alone in a remote wilderness far from civilization with no memory of how she got there. As she struggles to survive, her only hope lies in trusting a mysterious and charismatic stranger, portrayed by Orlando Bloom, though his true identity and intentions remain uncertain.

Speaking about casting the duo, Smukler told Deadline, “I was looking for a pairing where attraction and mistrust could effortlessly coexist. Priyanka and Orlando have this uncanny ability to make you believe both at once. Their chemistry is undeniable.”

Reset will be produced by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber under their Fratricidal Films banner, alongside Michael Lazarovitch for Chemically Altered and Matthew Rhodes of Rhodes Entertainment. The project also brings together Purple Pebble Pictures, backed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Amazing Owl, associated with Orlando Bloom. Nadine de Barros is attached as executive producer.

Fresh off leading and producing the action-adventure film The Bluff, which debuted at number one globally on Prime Video, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has continued to expand her international slate with a mix of commercial and critically acclaimed projects. Prior to that, she starred alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in Heads of State, which went on to become the streamer’s fourth most-watched film with more than 75 million views.

Chopra Jonas also starred in and executive produced The White Tiger for Netflix, while her banner Purple Pebble Pictures backed acclaimed projects like the Oscar-nominated short Anuja and the documentary To Kill a Tiger.

Up next, she is set to return in Season 2 of Citadel on Prime Video, and will also headline Varanasi, an ambitious action-adventure project from S. S. Rajamouli, best known for RRR.
