Indian travellers applying for a UK visa now have more premium options across the country, as VFS Global continues expanding its network of UK Premium Application Centres (PACs) in India.
The company now operates 12 UK Premium Application Centres in key Indian cities, aimed at travellers who want a faster, quieter, and more comfortable visa submission experience.
These centres are especially useful for business travellers, families, senior citizens, students, and professionals who prefer shorter wait times and personalised support while completing their visa formalities.
According to VFS Global, the premium centres still follow the same UK visa rules and security procedures laid down by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). The premium service only changes the submission experience, not the visa decision itself.
A Premium Application Centre is an upgraded visa submission facility where applicants can complete their biometric enrolment and document submission in a more private and comfortable setting.
Instead of crowded waiting halls, applicants get access to:
VFS says the service is designed for travellers who value convenience and time efficiency.
While services can slightly vary depending on the city, most UK Premium Application Centres in India offer:
Applicants can select these centres while filling out their UK visa application online through the official VFS Global portal.
This Premium Application Centre has an additional fee of £80. You can pay this fee when you book your appointment online. VFS Global currently operates UK Premium Application Centres in the following cities:
VFS Global has made it clear that using a Premium Application Centre is completely optional.
Travellers who do not want to pay extra can still use standard UK Visa Application Centres across India.
Most importantly, choosing a premium centre does not improve visa approval chances. Final visa decisions are made only by UKVI.
The expansion of premium visa services comes at a time when travel demand between India and the UK remains strong.
The UK continues to attract Indian tourists, students, business travellers, and skilled professionals. Faster appointments, premium lounges, and personalised support are increasingly becoming important for travellers who want a smoother visa experience.
Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer for South Asia at VFS Global, said Indian travellers are increasingly looking for flexibility, comfort, and convenience during the visa process. The company says the new premium centres are designed to meet those expectations while maintaining UK immigration standards.
