Just hours away from the 2026 Eurovision grand final, it has been revealed that the UK entry, Look Mum No Computers, could score a humiliating nul points. The singer, born Sam Bartle, has burst into the spotlight for representing the nation with his song Eins, Zwei, Drei. Although the 37-year-old instantly qualified for the final, Eurovision fans are not hopeful that he will be awarded any points.

This comes after a Sky Bingo poll found that 42% of Brits expect the UK to score zero points at Eurovision. While the actual score has yet to be seen, the 2017 UK Eurovision star Lucie Jones stated that Nul points is always a possibility, but added that she does not expect the 2026 entrant to place last in the competition. The Never Give Up On You star said: "It's always a possibility to get 'nul points."

Speaking to the Daily Express via Sky Bingo, Lucie reflected: "When I competed, my one hope and dream was that I didn't come dead last, and I didn't, which was great. But you just never know these things.

"Look Mum No Computer is a serious musician. He's very clever. He really knows what he's doing. He's created incredible pieces from nothing, and he's entertaining, and he's great fun."

She added: "But it is also a novelty. It's fun, he's not taking himself too seriously. I don't know where it's going to sit for everyone, but I do think that it will span both sides of what people want from Eurovision.

"I can hear the crowd singing along to the song already...And I don't see him coming last. Personally, I don't think that's going to happen."

Despite Lucie's optimism, not all fans were convinced after watching the semi-final, as they took to social media with concern.

While watching the performance, one fumed: "Just when you think it's absolutely impossible to get any worse, the UK entry has done it yet again! Absolute Trash. Nil points!"

A second echoed: "Why does the UK do so badly at Eurovision. LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is another car crash of a performance. We've not had a good entry since Sam Ryder."

Meanwhile, others didn't oppose the singer's efforts and added: "I thought the UK Eurovision staging was brilliant. It's not a radio-friendly song, but it sticks in your head because it's so catchy. It's bonkers, but I like the fact we've tried something wacky + different because the last few 'radio-friendly' songs didn't land us points."

"Everyone slamming UK needs to lighten up, it's a bit of fun it's not that deep that we aren't going for the win," wrote another.
