One of them was Norbert Eberhardt, a 65-year-old engineer from Germany, who spent five months researching dental implant providers before deciding to travel to Ho Chi Minh City for treatment.
The estimated cost of full-arch dental implants in Germany had reached around €25,000 (US$29,000), prompting him to explore overseas options. After reviewing clinics in Turkey and several Asian countries, he ultimately selected Dr. Care Implant Clinic in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Eberhardt, the clinic’s detailed treatment planning played a key role in his decision.
“Everything was itemized clearly before I committed to anything,” he said. “That level of transparency was something I had not seen elsewhere.”

Dr. Care, a dental implants clinic in Ho Chi Minh City located in Vinhomes Central Park, organizes treatment for overseas patients through a four-phase process designed to accommodate international travel schedules.
The first stage begins remotely two to four weeks before patients arrive in Vietnam. During this phase, patients submit medical records, dental images, and information about previous procedures through online consultations.
Based on the data provided, the clinic’s team evaluates bone condition, treatment complexity, and implant options before preparing a personalized treatment plan and estimated costs. Where appropriate, Digital Smile Design is used to give patients a visual preview of their expected outcome before any clinical steps begin.
The first in-person visit to Vietnam typically lasts between seven and 14 days and includes examinations, 3D CBCT imaging, implant surgery, and temporary prosthesis fitting for eligible patients.
The clinic said procedures are performed using an AI-guided navigation system called DCARER, designed to support implant positioning based on pre-planned digital models.
Depending on the case, surgery may also include bone grafting or sinus lift procedures during the same session. Single-tooth implant surgery generally takes less than one hour, while full-arch All-on-4 or All-on-6 procedures may last between three and five hours.
According to the clinic, temporary prostheses are fitted before patients return home whenever clinically appropriate, allowing them to speak and eat more comfortably during the healing period.

The third phase involves osseointegration, the biological process in which titanium implants fuse with jawbone tissue. This stage typically takes between three and six months and is completed while patients remain in their home countries.
During this period, follow-up assessments are conducted remotely through online consultations, photographs, and symptom monitoring.
The final treatment phase requires a second trip to Vietnam lasting approximately seven to 14 days.
During this visit, doctors verify implant integration, take digital impressions using the 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner, and fit the permanent ceramic or zirconia prosthesis.
Patients also receive maintenance guidance and warranty documentation after treatment completion.
According to the clinic, warranty periods range from 20 to 30 years depending on the implant system used.

Dr. Care said international patients from Australia, Europe, and North America increasingly choose Vietnam for dental treatment due to lower costs compared with Western markets.
The clinic estimates that full-arch All-on-4 dental implant pricing in Vietnam ranges from US$4,360 to US$5,960 depending on the implant tier selected
Comparable procedures in Australia or the United States may cost between US$25,000 and US$40,000.
The clinic noted that while some single-tooth cases can be completed during a single extended stay, full-arch rehabilitation generally requires two separate visits under internationally standardized treatment protocols because of biological healing requirements.
According to the clinic, many overseas patients also combine treatment schedules with travel plans in Vietnam, taking advantage of domestic flight connections from Ho Chi Minh City to destinations such as Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, and Hanoi.
More information about treatment plans and pricing is available through the clinic’s official website.
