Actor Jasjot Bhasin , who has impressed audiences with his work in shows like Special Task Team, Lag Ja Gale , Maitree and the web series Bekaboo, is all set to make his entry into the long-running show, Anupamaa .

The current track of the show revolves around a high-stakes culinary clash between Anupamaa ( Rupali Ganguly ) and her son-in-law Prem (Shivam Khajuria). Bhasin will be seen in a special appearance as the host of the competition.

Confirming his entry, Bhasin said, “I’m truly excited to make my return to the TV screen with one of the most popular shows out there. Being part of something so widely loved is an incredible opportunity, and I’m genuinely grateful for it. Though my role is a cameo, I’ll be hosting the entire competition, which means about two months of important, continuous work on set. I’m ready to embrace it with energy and commitment. I’m thankful for the trust placed in me, and I can’t wait to bring my passion to the show.”

Off-screen, the actor is equally passionate about food. “In real life I’m a very good chef. I always cook for myself, even while shooting. I never eat the food on set. Instead, I wake up an hour early to prep my meals and carry them with me. I can cook almost everything. I truly love my own food, so I’ve never hired a maid. Cooking for myself keeps me healthy and consistent. It’s a habit I value deeply. The discipline of preparing my meals brings me peace and control over my day, no matter how busy work gets,” he shared.

While he is currently exploring the web space, Bhasin says he doesn’t want to limit himself as an actor. “For me, acting is acting — whether it’s for TV or web screen. Television gave me discipline, reach, and that instant bond with families watching together every night. OTT gave me freedom, nuance, and the space to explore characters without the clock ticking. I love both because both are important. TV keeps me grounded in the craft and connected to millions. OTT lets me experiment and grow. Why choose one when both platforms are shaping the future of storytelling? I just want to be where the good stories are,” he concluded.
