On Sunday, three JPSC members—Ajita Bhattacharya, Anima Hasanda, and Jamal Ahmed—resigned. The CID summoned all three for questioning. Meanwhile, a large number of protesting students marched toward the Jharkhand Assembly today, breaking barricades. Police used water cannons to stop them. Earlier on Sunday, talks between the students and a Jharkhand government delegation were again inconclusive. Two rounds of talks had already taken place, but they had failed to yield any results. The protesting students are demanding the cancellation of the JPSC Preliminary Exam 2025 and a CBI investigation into irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC-CGL exams.

A public interest litigation has also been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this matter. Social activist Harishran Devgan has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court demanding that the JPSC Preliminary Examination 2025 be cancelled and re-conducted. He has also requested that the alleged irregularities in the previous examination be investigated by a CBI inquiry or an independent investigation committee headed by a retired Supreme Court judge or a retired Chief Justice of a High Court from a state other than Jharkhand.
