Starting at $125,900, Lucid is offering 1,070 hp in a family-centric SUV. Yes, the new Lucid Gravity GT-S has launched, blending luxury and performance into a family SUV.

This new SUV from Lucid is a three-row, seven-seater that joins the Gravity line-up, which launched in 2024. Since the launch of the Lucid line-up, the American carmaker has added two new variants, giving users more options when shopping for a new family SUV.

According to Lucid, the new Gravity GT-S will be made available for purchase towards the end of 2026. However, it is already giving potential buyers the option to start designing and ordering vehicles to their taste before the vehicle hits dealer lots.

The Lucid Gravity GT-S Blurs The Line Between A Family SUV And A Sports Car

Lucid is no newcomer when it comes to speed and performance. In fact, Lucid has one of the fastest production electric sedans on the market, the Lucid Air Sapphire.

The Lucid Air Sapphire took the world by storm when it officially launched in August 2023. It outperformed most performance vehicles, including the Tesla Model S Plaid, which at the time was one of the top-performing electric sedans on the market with 1,020 hp.

Now, after the success of its electric sedan lineup and its mind-blowing Air Sapphire, Lucid is bringing those performance numbers to its SUV lineup. Only two Lucid lineups are available for purchase today: the Air (the sedan lineup) and the Gravity (the SUV lineup).

The Gravity lineup is a luxury, three-row, seven-seat, family-centric SUV. This lineup’s base model, the Gravity Touring, has 560 hp and hits 60 mph from a standstill in 4.0 seconds.

These figures are impressive for a family SUV, but Lucid took things a step forward with the Grand Touring, which puts out 828 hp. With this vehicle, Lucid is already threading in ultra-performance territory, reaching 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds.

Well, that wasn’t enough for Lucid, as the Gravity GT-S makes 1,070 hp, bringing it on par with the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Audi e-tron GT RS Performance, Lotus Eletre R, and Tesla Model X Plaid, just to mention a few. The only difference between the Gravity GT-S and these cars is that the GT-S is a seven-seater and is marketed as a family vehicle.

Other Details On The Lucid Gravity GT-S

Beyond its performance, this vehicle also comes with impressive features. Like other entries in the Gravity lineup, the new GT-S supports North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging.

This means buyers can use not only Electrify America chargers and Tesla Superchargers but also any NACS charging station across America. This gives buyers confidence in fast charging, ensuring they don’t sit at charging stations for too long.

Premium Interior and Customization Options

Buyers can choose between 4 exterior and 2 interior color options when specing their Gravity GT-S. The exterior color options are Abyss Black, Stellar White Metallic, Quantum Grey Metallic, and Supernova Bronze Metallic.

For the interior, buyers can choose between Mojave Purluxe Premium and Tahoe Leather. The vehicle comes loaded with Lucid’s Driver Assistance System and a Surreal Sound System.

Lucid says that the Gravity GT-S will make a projected 373 miles of range on a single charge. This is more than the base Touring model and less than the Grand Touring model, which makes up to 450 miles of range.

However, these details are subject to real-world testing, which will reveal its actual performance. Details on whether this device will retail outside North America aren’t available yet.
