Actor Gauahar Khan recently opened up about one of her husband Zaid Darbar’s unusual habits, leaving the hosts and viewers of a chat show amused. The couple appeared on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s Double Date, where they spoke candidly about their marriage, first meeting and some of each other’s quirks.

During the conversation, Gauahar revealed that Zaid has a peculiar habit involving her underarms. According to the actor, her husband believes that her underarms always smell fresh and often touches and smells them.

Gauahar said Zaid sometimes even calls his sister over to point out how good the smell is. His sister, however, reportedly finds the couple’s behaviour strange and responds by questioning what they are doing.

The revelation was shared in a light-hearted manner, with Gauahar appearing more amused than genuinely upset by the habit. The anecdote quickly became one of the more talked-about moments from the couple’s appearance on the show.

Gauahar and Zaid also discussed another unusual incident from their wedding day. Gauahar recalled that they were in the middle of their wedding photography when the time for their nikah arrived. Although the arrangements were ready and the maulvi had arrived, Zaid suddenly rushed to the washroom.

The couple’s conversation also touched upon their age difference, an issue that has frequently been discussed in the media. Gauahar said that reports have often exaggerated the difference between their ages. According to the couple, they have a seven-year age gap.

Gauahar recalled that when she first met Zaid, he had told her that he was around 24 or 25 years old. She later discovered that he was actually 29 at the time. According to reports about their conversation, Zaid eventually sent Gauahar a photograph of his passport to prove his actual age.

The couple’s first meeting took place during the COVID-19 pandemic at a supermarket. Zaid subsequently contacted Gauahar through Instagram, telling her that he had something important to discuss with her. Their online conversations eventually developed into a relationship.
