Heavy rain in Odisha-Chhattisgarh

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in Odisha between 23 and 26 August. At the same time, there is a possibility of very heavy rain at many places in Chhattisgarh from 23rd to 25th August. Apart from this, there may be heavy rain in the Ganga plains of West Bengal between 23rd and 24th August, in Jharkhand between 23rd to 27th August and in Bihar between 24th to 26th August.

Weather will change in North India also

Apart from this, rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh in North India on August 23. The rainy season may continue in Uttarakhand from 23rd to 29th August. There is a possibility of rain in many areas in eastern Uttar Pradesh between 23 and 25 August. There has been a warning of thunderstorm and lightning in eastern Rajasthan from 23rd to 26th August. In such a situation, people have been advised to take caution during bad weather.

Alert in Central India and Northeast also

Rain is likely to continue in many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh for the next few days. There is an alert of thunderstorm and lightning in Chhattisgarh from 23rd to 27th August and in Eastern and Western Madhya Pradesh on different days. In Vidarbha also the weather may remain bad between 23rd to 25th August.

In the northeastern states, there is a danger of thunderstorms and lightning in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between August 23 and 29. The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to keep an eye on local weather updates and avoid unnecessary travel in bad weather.
