Kanpur. A healthy diet is that which is suitable for a person’s body, digestive fire, country, time, harmony, defects and condition. Taking the wrong diet in the wrong way or for a long time can lead to imbalance of doshas and formation of mango in the body, which can lead to many problems including indigestion, indigestion, stomach and skin disorders. Senior Ayurvedacharya Dr. said these things on the occasion of inauguration of National Nutrition Week on Tuesday. Vandana Pathak said.
National Nutrition Week 2026 started with the lighting of the lamp at the School of Health Sciences of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University. Dr., Associate Professor of Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural University, participated in the program. Vinita Singh, Director of the Institute, Dr. Munish Rastogi and Associate Dean Administration Dr. Digvijay Sharma was present.
Main speaker Dr. Vineeta Singh stressed on taking appropriate amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and dietary fibers in a balanced diet. He advised to include home-cooked food, multi-grains and diverse foods in the diet. He described pulses, cheese, milk, curd, dry fruits, seeds, tofu, kidney beans, gram, eggs, soybean and chicken as good sources of protein. He advised to check the amount of added sugar, sodium and unhealthy fats when buying packaged foods. Also, through ‘Helping Hand’, a balanced diet was explained and information about reduction in muscle mass and strength in sarcopenia was given.
The program was conducted by Assistant Professor of Nutrition Department, Garima Dixit. Assistant Director Dr. Hina Vaishya, Assistant Director Dheeraj Kumar, Dr. Anamika Dixit, Aamina Zaidi, Dr. Teachers and students including Swati Aggarwal were present.
