Barabanki Floods : Due to increase in the water level of Saryu river in Barabanki, UP, sudden flood in Hetmapur village has caused great devastation. About 25 houses are reported to have been washed away in this flood. Due to increasing erosion, there is a danger of flood in the nearby populated areas. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has targeted BJP over the 'Aashirvad Ka Diya' program on the 76th birthday of PM Narendra Modi. Akhilesh said that why should one light a lamp when the lamp is submerged in water.

Former CM Akhilesh Yadav on Friday alleged on social media platform X that BJP is celebrating instead of helping the flood victims. He wrote, 'Why should one light a lamp when it has been drowned in water? The people, who are completely disappointed with the BJP government, are extremely upset and angry with the fact that when people's houses have been destroyed, there is suffering in every way, there is no relief material and no one to ask, then how is the BJP doing the condemnable act of celebrating the festival. Does BJP not care even an iota about the common people, the poor, the exploited, the deprived and the flood victims?

While sharing a video of a media outlet's ground reporting on the floods in Barabanki, the SP chief wrote, 'The BJP government should immediately provide relief material for food, water, medicines and other daily needs or say that it has nothing to do with the public. Extremely condemnable!' Let us tell you that BJP is on target of opponents for celebrating 'Aashirvad Ka Diya' program on PM Modi's 76th birthday. Opposition parties are cornering the government by raising the issue of flood affected areas in UP and Bihar.
