Kawasaki has introduced a new version of its neo-retro motorcycle in India. The 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS has been priced at ₹7.83 lakh ex-showroom. Interestingly, the price and color options of the new model are the same as the previous version. It comes in Metallic Ocean Blue color. No major changes have been made in the design, cycle parts and features.


649cc Engine and 67.3 bhp Power


The 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This engine produces 67.3bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. The torque has increased by 1.9Nm compared to the previous model. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. 17-inch wheels are used on both sides.

Riding and hardware


The bike has a tubular diamond frame made of high-tensile steel. It gets 41mm telescopic forks at the front and Horizontal Back-link suspension at the rear. The tires are of 120/70 section at the front and 160/60 section at the rear. It gets 1,405mm wheelbase, 800mm seat height and 125mm ground clearance. The weight of the bike is 179kg and the fuel tank can hold 12 liters of petrol.


Safety and Tech Features


For braking, there are dual 300mm discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Kawasaki Traction Control System and ABS are standard safety features. Apart from this, it gets Assist & Slipper Clutch, Economical Riding Indicator, spoke-style cast wheels and round LED headlamps.

The neo-retro design remains


The round LED headlamps, dual-pod instrument cluster and flat rear profile give the Z650RS a distinctive neo-retro identity. A wide and flat handlebar is provided for comfortable riding. In the Indian market, the bike competes with motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Triumph Trident 660.
