Hisar : Four people, including two youths and a four-year-old girl, were killed in separate road accidents in Hisar and Sirsa districts on Sunday. In Barwala , two youths died and another was critically injured after a pickup allegedly rammed their motorcycle while they were returning from Ganesh idol immersion . In Sirsa, a woman and her four-year-old daughter were killed after a trailer allegedly ran over them in Maleka village .




In Barwala, Vansh and Mohit , residents of Ward No. 3, were killed and their friend Ishu seriously injured after their motorcycle collided with a pickup near Badhawar village on Sunday.




Police said the three had gone to Khark Poonia canal on Jind road to immerse a Ganesh idol. While returning to Barwala, their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a pickup coming from the opposite direction. The impact threw all three onto the road. Vansh and Mohit died at the spot, while Ishu was taken to hospital after passersby alerted police.




In Maleka village, Santosh Rishi, a native of Bihar’s Purnia district, told police that he, his wife Madhu Devi and their four-year-old daughter Chandni were walking towards Maleka bus stand around 5.30pm on Sunday to buy household items. The family worked as daily-wage labourers in a nearby field.




According to the FIR at Sadar Sirsa police station, a trailer allegedly coming from the Ellenabad side at high speed hit Madhu and Chandni from behind near a fertiliser shop. The trailer allegedly ran over them after they fell onto the road. Both died while being taken to Govt Hospital, Sirsa.
