Patna : An automated sattu vending machine was inaugurated the Old Secretariat in Patna on Thursday, allowing visitors and govt employees to access the traditional drink in three flavours — tangy, spicy and sweet. The machine was inaugurated by chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit .




Developed using ready-to-serve sattu mixes , the machine dispenses the drink automatically and also offers almonds. Officials said the initiative aims to combine Bihar ’s traditional food heritage with modern technology and make sattu more accessible to consumers.




The launch comes after sattu was included in kits distributed to delegates and journalists during the BRICS summit in New Delhi, helping showcase the traditional Bihar beverage to an international audience.




Officials said the initiative aims to promote Bihar’s traditional food heritage while providing consumers with a quick and convenient way to access the beverage at a major administrative hub.
