Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : A total of 23,287 farmers in the district are yet to complete their mandatory Aadhaar authentication , stalling their eligibility for benefits under Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmers’ Loan Waiver Scheme 2026 .
The district administration has urged the affected farmers to complete their e-KYC immediately, highlighting that Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for the loan-waiver amount to be credited.
According to official data shared by the district deputy registrar of cooperative societies , the scheme has so far benefited 93,268 farmers across three phases in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, with a total of Rs698.93 crore credited to clear their loan accounts.
Officials said beneficiary lists have been displayed at bank branches, cooperative service societies, Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra (ASSK) centres, gram panchayats, talathi offices, and offices of assistant registrars of cooperative societies.
“Farmers whose names appear on the list have been asked to visit their nearest ASSK centre and complete Aadhaar authentication without delay. They have been advised to carry their application number, original Aadhaar card, and savings bank passbook,” authorities said.
Collector assess drought Impact
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district collector Vinay Gowda GC on Saturday visited drought-affected fields dacross Maliwada, Sarai, Waregaon, and Chauka to assess crop conditions on the ground and directly hear farmers’ concerns. He inspected standing crops, discussed the impact of water scarcity, and sought details about likely production losses.
“Agriculture and revenue officials have been asked to conduct objective panchnamas of crop damage and ensure eligible farmers receive relief as per government norms,” he said. The collector also reviewed drinking water availability, livestock fodder, and regional water requirements.
