Mansa : Police have found that Ashwani Kumar , accused of killing anti-drug activist Parminder Singh Jhota , and his family own no residential house or vacant plot in Green Valley colony on Mansa-Sirsa road , Bathinda DIG Harjit Singh said.




The clarification came after rumours about Kumar owning a house in the colony drew protesters there on Wednesday, prompting police deployment to prevent any untoward incident. “The police conducted an investigation with the revenue authorities and found that Ashwani Kumar and his family own no built-up house or vacant plot in Green Valley. The rumours were found to be untrue,” Harjit Singh said.




A flex banner has since been put up outside the colony stating that Kumar and his family own no property there.
